Q:
How much is shipping to Tempe, AZ 85281. My acrylic will be 47" x 35.5" 1/4" thickness
Asked 16 days ago by Wendy
A:

Estimated shipping for the specs you have mentioned is $324.32 for 2-5 business day transit. This is just an estimated shipping cost. The most accurate shipping will be calculated on the checkout page once the complete address is entered online.

Q:
I want to suspend the acrylic over beams so that the image can be viewed looking up in my entrance area and down as you go up the stairs. Should I ask for printing on one or both sided? What is the largest size that you can print?
Asked 23 days ago by Carol G.
A:

The largest we can do for acrylic photo print is 96x48 or vice versa. If you will put light I would suggest choosing the second surface printing compared to standard printing. As this will look better under a light.

Q:
is it possible to purchase without the second surface?
Asked a month ago by Paul
A:

Yes it is possible. Make sure to choose Standard on the Edge option. That option has a matte finish and is standard finishing

Q:
how can we mount a print without having those metal pieces drilled through corners? Is it possible to attach a hanger cradle onto the back, or perhaps frame the print somehow?

Q:
How do you hang acrylic prints on the wall?
Asked 2 months ago by Maxie B.
A:

We use stand-off as an accessory to hang acrylic signs. I have attached a link for your reference. You can order this separately or with the acrylic signs when you order online.

Q:
What is the best file type to upload to this website to get the highest quality images on the acrylic? (i.e PDF, JPEG, etc)
Asked 3 months ago by Levern
A:

When preparing files for printing, the best file type depends on the type of print project and the specific requirements of the printer. However, here are some of the most commonly recommended file types for high-quality printing:

1. PDF (Portable Document Format):

  • Best For: Most print projects including documents, brochures, posters, and more.
  • Why: PDFs are versatile, maintain high quality, and preserve fonts, images, and layout regardless of the software or device used to open them. They also support both vector and raster images.
  • Tip: Ensure the PDF is saved with high-resolution settings (usually 300 DPI) and include bleed and crop marks if needed.

2. TIFF (Tagged Image File Format):

  • Best For: High-quality images, photos, and detailed graphics.
  • Why: TIFF files are lossless, meaning they retain all the original image data without compression, ensuring the highest possible quality for printing.
  • Tip: Use CMYK color mode for print and ensure the resolution is set to 300 DPI or higher.

3. AI (Adobe Illustrator):

  • Best For: Vector graphics, logos, illustrations, and designs with text.
  • Why: AI files are native to Adobe Illustrator and are ideal for vector-based designs. They can be resized without losing quality.
  • Tip: Outline all text and embed any linked images before sending the file to the printer.

4. EPS (Encapsulated PostScript):

  • Best For: Vector graphics, logos, and illustrations.
  • Why: EPS is widely supported across various design and print software. It maintains high quality and can include both vector and raster elements.
  • Tip: Similar to AI files, make sure to outline text and embed images.

5. PSD (Adobe Photoshop):

  • Best For: Complex images, photo editing, and layered designs.
  • Why: PSD files are native to Adobe Photoshop and support layers, making them ideal for detailed image editing and complex designs.
  • Tip: Flatten the image and convert to CMYK mode before saving as a TIFF or PDF for printing.

General Tips:

  • Color Mode: Always use CMYK color mode for print, as it represents the colors used in printing (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black).
  • Resolution: Ensure images are at least 300 DPI (dots per inch) to maintain print quality.
  • Bleed and Crop Marks: Include these if the design goes to the edge of the paper.

For most print projects, a high-resolution PDF with embedded fonts and images is the safest and most versatile choice.

Q:
How do the acrylic prints stand up on an outdoor lanai without direct sunlight?

These can be mounted on walls using standoffs. Even without direct sunlight, these acrylic signs should still be visible as long as there is a source of light near them.
