Fabric Banners

What Are Fabric Banners?

Fabric banners are cloth banners made with 100% polyester, washable, and wrinkle-resistant fabric. They’re composed of thin and tightly woven threads, making them ultra-durable and lightweight. The 6.8 oz. polyester features minimal light reflection with a light sheen that enhances the dye-sublimated printed design and overall print quality of fabric banners. Signs.com’s fabric banners are seamless up to 9.5’ x 50’, allowing you to get the size you need for nearly any application.

With their aesthetic appeal, multiple display options, and fully custom printing, fabric banners suit various indoor settings such as churches, retail stores, events, and more.

Fabric Banners Options

Versatile Display Options

Sewn Hem: Each fabric banner is finished with a sewn hem, which reinforces the edges of the cloth banner while giving it a clean, professional look. The hems are sewn with white stitching.

Pole Pockets:Customize your fabric banners into having 3-inch pole pockets to help you showcase it in various ways and settings. Pole pockets are available in two configurations — top only or top and bottom — and are sewn with white stitching.

Grommets: Grommets simplify hanging or attaching your fabric banner for displaying indoors. These are an optional addition to the banner and can be placed in the top corners or the four corners of the banner. You can also have them placed every 12-18 inches, every 18-24 inches, or every 2-3 feet of the fabric banner.

How to Display Your Banner

To display fabric banners that has grommets, use cords, strings, or bungees to attach the banner to a stationary object such as poles or fences. Smaller fabric banners are typically light enough to be hung using rope or ribbon for a more aesthetically pleasing look. You can also use screws and washers to install your banners to rigid backgrounds such as wood, walls, or concrete. Pole pockets on your fabric banner allow for simple hanging for indoor displays, booths, and more. Extended outdoor use or display is not recommended for fabric banners due to potential irreversible damage to the fabric and color fading when exposed to the elements.

Care

Regular cleaning of fabric banners is recommended. Just like cloth, fabric banners can be machine washed in cold water and on a gentle cycle. Fabric banners should be laid flat or hung to dry. If needed, use a hand steamer to get rid of wrinkles or creases. Do not bleach, tumble dry, or iron fabric banners. To prevent your banner from fading, avoid displaying it in direct sunlight.

“Really good quality. Very fast turnaround time. Good customer service. All around, very happy. My only recommendation is to get a couple inches smaller than the size of the backdrop if you are buying for an expo. Standard backdrops at trade shows and expos are 8’x10’ but if I could do it again I’d get 7’10”x9’8”.”

Q:
Is the completed fabric banner light diffusing or completely opaque?
Asked 24 days ago by Kara
A:

The fabric banner is opaque and not made of light-diffusing material. However, printing will be up to the design that is submitted or created online.

Q:
Can fabric banners be stretched and/or attached to a wooden frame, similar to how you can print on canvas? If a fabric banner is too rigid, can you recommend a different type of material that you can print that will have some "give" - similar to canvas?
Asked 2 months ago by Heather S.
A:

The canvas material is the best material and can be stapled on a wooden frame. I would not recommend a fabric material be stapled on a wooden frame as this can be easily ripped off. Fabric is the closest material we have compared to canvas material. Other material options for banners are vinyl material.

Q:
Do the dimensions of the banner include the pole loops? What is the finished size of a 36 inch tall banner with top and bottom loops?
Asked 2 months ago by Jamie
A:

The order size will be the total printed area. There will be an additional 3" added for the pole pocket sleeves/loop. You can definitely upload your PDF artwork and set it up using our online design tool. As a safeguard, please upload your artwork in full bleed so we can make sure that no important elements will be compromised during the cutting process, and this would also eliminate the appearance of white hairline along the edges of the final product.

Q:
Can you make triangular signs?
Asked 7 months ago by Gilad
A:

The standard shape for this banner is square or rectangle. We can check if we can make them triangular. We have specialists that do the customizing for us. Feel free to call or chat with us for this inquiry so we can check if this is doable or not.

Q:

Asked 9 months ago by Suzanne
A:

Q:
what size, resolution and format should a custom graphic be to display on a 102 x 84 inch banner
Asked 9 months ago by teresa
A:

Usually, we request that our customers provide us with vector files to make sure that the print will be sharp and crisp. But for large format products, we can accept files with resulotion of a minimum of 150 dpi.

Q:
Want to make sure my 10' x 5' fabric banner can be kept tight & taunt when hung from my display tent. What is your recommendation to keep it looking tight with out sags?
Asked 10 months ago by Louise W.
A:

For our fabric banners, you may add grommets so that you can hang them securely. We offer the option of placing grommets every 2 feet or at intervals of 18-24 inches, or every 12-18 inches.

Q:
Could i get blank, unsewn and no grommets 16 ft x 24in and how much is shipping to zip 33844

Q:
What file type should I use to upload my banner design? And should I use printer corner marks?
Asked a year ago by Shelly K.
A:

You can definitely upload your artwork in full bleed so we can make sure that no important elements will be compromised during the cutting process and this would also eliminate the appearance of white border along the edges of the final product. The artwork needs to be built to the final trim size plus 1/8″ bleed on each side. Also, when generating the file into the proper format, do not use any crop or printer marks, as these will increase the dimensions of the design file.
