What are Retractable Banners?
Retractable banners provide maximum portability by pulling out of and retracting into a sturdy aluminum stand or base. This feature makes them the ultimate signage solution for trade shows, events, and conferences.
Also known as pull-up banners, these signages can be printed on 13 oz. smooth vinyl or UV fabric. Choose from our premium and deluxe options. These include an adjustable pole, which allows you to set the display height with ease — or go for our standard banner with a fixed-height pole.
Each banner comes with a padded carrying case that makes storage and travel a breeze. Optional LED display lights are also available to complete your display.

Fast and Easy Set Up: How to Install Your Retractable Banner
It only takes a minute or two to set up your retractable banner. The only assembly needed is removing everything from the carrying case, locking the pole, pulling the banner out of the aluminum base, and then attaching it to the support pole. If you purchase a display light, you can attach it to the top of the stand/banner and you’ll have a professional pop-up banner in just a few minutes. Reverse the process, and you’re walking out of the show with your banner in its carrying case.
- Step 1: Begin the setup by removing the banner’s base and poles from the carrying case.
- Step 2: Assemble the pole(s) by connecting the two ends, sliding the sleeve of the top piece over the narrower end of the bottom piece like you would a tent pole.
- Step 3: Insert the bottom of the pole(s) into the base’s hole(s). Ensure that the bottom of the pole(s) firmly touches the bottom of the base’s hole(s).
- Step 4: Carefully pull out the banner from the retractable base and attach the rung of the banner to the top of the pole(s).
- Step 5: Extend the adjustable top half of the pole(s) to the required height for your banner. Twist the pole clockwise to lock the height into place. If you are setting up the deluxe retractable banner, you will have to carefully pull out the back side of the banner and attach the top rung to the mounting clips at the top of the pole.

Aluminum Bases for Retractable Banners
Our standard retractable banners are an affordable way to put up a great-looking banner. The base is made of aluminum and it has stabilizing feet that swing perpendicular to the base and support the banner once installed. These feet can swing parallel to the base for compact and easy traveling.
Our premium pull-up banners have a base that adds a professional touch to your display. The premium base stabilizes without any supporting feet like our standard base. It also has chrome end caps to make your banner stand look sophisticated.
*Our extra wide 60” x 92” premium banner comes with two support poles, while all other banners function with only one support pole.
Our deluxe pop-up banners are the best way to show off your company’s brand and offering. Like our premium base, the deluxe base features sleek chrome end caps and stabilizes without rotating feet. Additionally, it’s the only banner to feature double-sided printing.
Looking for Double-sided Retractable Banners?
Our deluxe retractable banners are double-sided, making them suitable for trade shows, hallways, receptions, and other areas where you need bidirectional visibility.
These banners use the same support pole as our single-sided banners. A rail is attached to the top edge of each banner, which rests on the hook at the top of the pole system. With our deluxe option, you can print the same design on both sides or a different design on each side.
Choose Between Vinyl and Fabric Material
Print your standard, premium, or deluxe retractable banner in either premium-quality vinyl or fabric material.
Made from 13 oz. smooth vinyl, is printed with durable UV ink, and has a glossy finish. This material can be easily cleaned with a damp, non-abrasive cloth.
Our UV fabric is printed on using dye-sublimation process. This material has a matte finish and can be spot-cleaned or machine-washed once removed from the stand. See our FAQs below for more details.
Accessories for Retractable Banners
Each retractable banner includes a convenient carrying case for storage and travel.
Our standard pull-up banners come with a compatible padded carrying case, perfect for protecting your banner during traveling or storage. This case is only available for standard banners and isn't compatible with premium or deluxe options. Each case is tailored to a specific banner size, thus banners of other sizes will not fit. Note that the optional LED light does not fit in this case.
Our premium retractable banners include a padded carrying case that is more durable and rigid than the standard or deluxe cases. This case is only compatible with our premium retractable banners, each with its own fitted case. The optional LED light(s) will fit in this case.
Each deluxe retractable banner includes a fitted padded carrying case, which protects your banner during storage and transport. This case is designed only for deluxe banners and will not fit other sizes. The optional LED lights are compatible with this case.
You can add LED lights to your order when ordering your retractable banners. These lights easily attach to the top of your banner, giving your graphic better visibility.
*48" x 92" premium, 60" x 92" premium, and 33" x 81" deluxe retractable banners offer two (2) LED lights only.
Caring for Your Retractable Banners
Assuming the setup and removal are done correctly, your retractable banner requires little to no care and maintenance. Retracting the banner into the aluminum base will protect the material (fabric or vinyl) from potential damage between uses. Furthermore, storing your stand, pole, and light within the padded case should prevent damage between uses. Stains can either be wiped away with a damp cloth (vinyl and fabric) or laundered under extreme circumstances (fabric only), as explained in more detail in our FAQ section.
When displaying and taking down your retractable banner, do so with care. Slowly pull out and retract the graphic in and out of the base while maintaining the graphic centered on the base. Don’t let the graphic rapidly retract or snap back into the base, whether centered or uncentered. Doing so may cause permanent damage to your graphic and/or base. Carefully install the pole to the base and top of the graphic. Mishandling the pole or using of it beyond its intended purpose may cause permanent damage, and may render the banner unusable.

Questions and Answers
While our retractable banners are built for indoor use, they can be used outdoors for short periods of time. The vinyl banner is your best choice since it's more durable for outside conditions. However, we highly recommend that you refrain from using your retractable banner outside during inclement weather, especially when there are high winds, heavy rainfall and sustained cold temperatures.
With all of our banners, we use durable materials and quality ink, lending to retractable banners that don't fade and are scratch resistant, unlike cheap, low-quality banners. Of course, with any sign there will eventually be some fading, but with the ink we use, your custom banner should remain vibrant for several years down the road.
The base itself, which is a durable metal stand, shouldn't have any problems with damage. It is a sturdy base that provides excellent stability for your retractable banner. But like we explain below, you should never place anything on top of your retractable banner or stand. Also, make sure to strap it into the case (premium case only) before storing and traveling with the banner.
Yes! Our retractable banners are quite durable and can be used repeatedly. Simply store them as per the instructions below and you should have no issue using these banners again and again for years to come. If you'd like to change out the graphic in your retractable stand, we would recommend printing one from us and then having a professional reinstall it into the base.
A retractable banner requires very little assembly and no installation. You simply have to remove everything from the carrying case, lock the pole into place, pull the banner out of the metal base and then attach it to the pole to assemble your retractable banner. For the standard banner option be sure to twist or rotate the feet on the bottom of the base so they are perpendicular to the base. This will help stabilize the standard banner while assembled and in use. If you purchased a display light (or lights), you just need to attach the light to the top rung of the banner of either the standard, premium, or deluxe version. The assembly and takedown process - which is doing the assembly steps in reverse - only takes a couple of minutes to complete.
